January/February 2012:
The winter months offer a peaceful quiet period, a chance to rest up before the busy warm-weather birthing & shearing seasons. We continue to be available for ranch visits throughout the winter season, however - just give us a phone call (505-473-9316) to arrange a specific day/time for your visit.November/December 2011:

In celebration of the holiday season, we held a special Alpaca Farm Store event the weekend of December 10-11th. Guests enjoyed the opportunity for last-minute holiday shopping in our relaxed setting, with hot cider & snacks to sustain them!
Baby News: Our final cria of the year arrived November 9th. Peggy Sue, a gorgeous brown & white suri girl, was born to our bay black suri Black Diamond & sired by our fawn Top Brass. Be sure to check her out on our baby pics page!

September/October 2011:
October saw the arrival of 3 sweet little light fawn girls. Joy arrived on October 7th, out of our Legacy grandson BlueMesa Aftershock & Caligula granddaughter Jazmine. Two more girls were born at the very same time (!) just 3 days later, Krista born to our Shockwave girl Sagebrush Juliette out of our silver grey herdsire Misty Ridge's Silver Quest, while full Peruvian Caroline was born to our beige Nacara of Peru, fathered by our light fawn Caligula grandson BRCR's Peruvian Ricochet.
September was an exciting baby time for us, with 6 beautiful new babies arriving, 4 girls & 2 boys in all! First to be born was a sweet white girl named Dora on Sept. 3rd, followed by our 9/11 striking black & white suri girl Penny. A lustrous light fawn suri boy Cimaron was born on the 17th, closely followed the very next day by our true black girl Tina. Finally, just in time for our NAFD open-ranch weekend, Jondalar, another gorgeous light fawn suri boy & half-brother to Cimaron (both sired by our award-winning herd sire Top Brass), arrived on the 23rd!
In celebration of National Alpaca Farm Days the weekend of September 24th-25th, we held an open ranch event that featured free ranch tours. Our Farm Store was open throughout the event, offering a wide selection of luxury alpaca fiber products at a special open-ranch weekend sale price of 20% off regular prices. We had absolutely beautiful sunny mild weather for the weekend, & a fun time was had by all who took part - our ranch visitors especially enjoyed meeting our newest babies!
