Caroline’s sire, BRCR’s Peruvian Ricochet, is a handsome light fawn herdsire who is full Peruvian & three-quarters Accoyo.  Rico has a fantastic pedigree as son of Accoyo Goliath & grandson of the famous Pperuvian Caligula. He is a great example of the quality features of that line. A beautiful light fawn in color, Rico is a big boy with very dense crimpy fiber & a super personality. His sire Goliath is one of the best-fleeced Accoyo offspring produced at Pacific Crest. Goliath passes on to his offspring not only his fantastic fleece & large bone structure but also colors, including black. Rico’s dam Rose is also exceptional. She has superb fleece, with the same high-amplitude crimp & cinnamon fawn color as her sire Peruvian Victor G4563; her micron count was 16 at age 1, & even at age 6 it was an impressive 20.8.

Caroline’s dam, Nacara of Peru, is a very typey fine-fibered alpaca, with a beautiful cloud of dense, crimpy beige fiber.  She’s show quality, with a third place in the 2008 Southwest Regional Alpaca Show.  Nacara is full Peruvian, but unusual in that she carries black/grey genetics.  In fact, her first cria was a dark silver grey male (out of a dark fawn sire).  A reliable producer, Nacara has borne several cria at our ranch, and she’s always shown herself to be a good mother.
